DiOnna Hill started it off 27 minutes it, with an assist from Rebekah Holbrook, who crossed it to the far left post, with Hill heading it past the keeper. Then, only ten minutes later, it was Hill from Holbrook again, another far cross, but this time flying off the foot of Hill and in.

In the first 21 seconds of the half, Hill found the back of the net again with an assist from other freshman Dahlia Jerovsek for a 3-0 lead.
