University women’s volleyball team has earned a direct trip to Sioux City, Iowa for the 2019 NAIA Volleyball National Championship, presented by Delta Hotels. This Blue Devils secured their spot in the top 19 by winning the WHAC Tournament and finishing the season with a program best 32-2 record.
SOUTHFIELD, Mich.—The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University men’s basketball team (4-2, 0-1) fell to the No. 12 visiting Golden Eagles of Cornerstone (Mich.) University (5-2, 1-0) by a score of 60-67. The Blue Devils battled and kept the game close the entire game. The first half saw the Golden Eagles hold a lead the entire half, and were able to fend off the Blue Devils for the first 20 minutes. A seven point run by the Blue Devils gave them their only lead of the night, halfway through the second half, but the Golden Eagles were able to recapture the lead and held on until the game was over.
UPLAND, Ind. – The Lawrence Technological (Mich.) University football team used a 20-point fourth quarter to close the 22-points hole to 12, but it was not enough as Taylor (Ind.) University won 38-26 in the regular season finale.

University 3-1 (27-25, 25-17, 26-24, 26-24). So, if we are keeping track, that’s a program first in: WHAC wins (20), total wins (32), being ranked in the NAIA top 25 (20th), WHAC Regular Season Championship, WHAC Tournament Championship, and automatic qualifier to the NAIA National Tournament.
